There is not much point in delaying , as it probably can not be put off much longer and so I have started to work on getting some estimates for getting the commercial roof repair in NJ done as soon as possible. Of course the plant was originally constructed in the early 1940′s. So this building is well over seven decades in after. From what I think it seems that the roof has already been repaired a couple of times, but I have not really tried to figure out how long ago the last work was done or what exactly was done. I can see what they did. They must have just added more of that stuff on top of the first layer and that seems to have been done at least a couple of times can get through it. It is likely done that all of the times it will stand, because there is a real limit to what a roof will hold up.
Of course each layer of this stuff that they put on the roof has some weight and at some point you end up adding more weight than the roof is designed to handle. The big problem comes with the rain and the snow, like for instance when you have a really severe Winter there is going to be a lot of snow piling up on top of the roof. If you burden the roof too much it is not going to be able to hold up all of that weight. You have to think about how much all of that weights. If you have one foot of snow, that is one thing. However if you have six feet of snow sitting on a roof, that can be a great big problem and the roof could give in.
