Father's Day Ideas

Am I the only one who struggles with what to buy for Father's Day? For not only my own dad, but for my husband. I mean, women are easy to buy for ... jewelry, accessories, manis & pedis, massages ... I'm game for any of it. But dudes are tough. You're totally out of luck if they don't wear ties to work. Most of the time, they buy what they want anyway, before you have a chance to do it. Or they want something you couldn't possibly walk into a store and purchase ... like surround sound for the living room. Um, ok. I know exactly what to look for.

Last year I compiled a book of pictures and made it into a video he could share with his friends online. This year, we're going easy peasy again. Enjoying some family time together and I'll wrap up a few little goodies for him. Since my husband only reads my blog when I direct him to pictures here, I feel fairly safe in posting some of these fun Father's Day ideas for your inspiration. :)

Martha Stewart always delivers, especially with these retro labels for dad. I think they would be cool on his favorite bag of snacks, beverage of choice, or even on a gift bag containing a sweet something.

Create a cool HERO package to honor your dad (or hubby) as the Hero in your family with these printable labels.

For the golfer, these are the funniest things I've seen in a long time, granted the man-of-honor was privilege to SNL from way back when.

How about a sweet confection for daddy-o? These look amazing, although I'm not sure they would last long in my house prior to the gift-giving. Locally, I've found that ChocolatBoutique in Baxter has some rocking chocolate-covered strawberries. Have to pre-order those.

What else? Share some cool, clever, unique gift ideas here. Or if you're a dad, what would you like to have? And please don't say handprints of your kids made into a mouse pad. Seriously. We're not amateurs here. :)

I've resorted to gift cards for my dad for every single occasion requiring a gift. He's too hard to shop for and not appreciative AT ALL. So gift cards it is. :)

Jason's birthday is tomorrow and I know *exactly* what you mean. Everything he wants he buys for himself... and if it's something big it's for his motorcycle, so it's not like I'm going to buy him that! I decided I'm going to Total Wine & More tomorrow and I'm buying him two cases of various six packs of really good beers for him to try out. :)

My Pop never wants anything (which makes my job much easier).
This year, though, I've decided to make a donation to Love146 in his honor.
