How do you say thank you and Merry Christmas to the people who take care of your children everyday? I know we pay them, but I'm sure the individuals who feed, nurture, sing and educate my kids are not paid nearly what they are worth. But, as a parent, how do you acknowledge everyone without breaking the bank?
Here's our adaptation of the teacher gift for 2009. We wanted to provide gifts for 11 of the staff members at Owen & Kate's daycare. No easy task. We created little 'gift baskets' with the theme of recession movie night. We included $5 Blockbuster gift cards, a sampling of handmade Peppermint Bark (YUM!), a packet of popcorn, and packed it all in a Popcorn box from the dollar bin at Target. I created a little theater ticket that said "Recession Movie Night" and included the contents of their package. And created a personalized tag for each of them. I think they're pretty cute.
So what do you do for the 'mass holiday gift'? Or special teacher gifts that are quick and easy, but special? Any suggestions for next year?

Great idea! I just bought them all a loaf of dessert bread from Breadsmith. Cheap, and DELISH!
