We've been sick. Then we got past it. Then it hit us again. Then it hit my in-laws. There's apparently no escaping it. So I've been taking care of family, myself, the day job, and a crazy amount of orders thanks to Amanda's sweet words about my pottery. I'm kinda exhausted.
For turkey day this year, we enjoyed a Tapas Thanksgiving in lieu of a bird (the hen was at the in-laws house). We had creme brule cranberry tartlets (uh, YUM!), Philly balls, crab dip and crab cakes; anything you probably wouldn't have found on the Pilgrim's table. It was nice to do something different, but I'm looking forward to our traditional dinner tomorrow, sans fevers and tummy aches.
And apparently I forgot to post the last two Friday Features. Please forgive. I'll get back at it next week. And I didn't finish my Gratitude posts ... I did five days but I really enjoyed it. I think I'll try to make it more of a monthly habit to keep me mindful of my blessings.
So that's me. I miss the connections when I'm not online for a few days. I miss hopping around and reading what everyone is up to. But I'm hoping to get some time in the next few weeks to peek in on everyone and say hi.
The kiln is firing, the pots are drying, the kids are sleeping and I'm going to bed before 11. So totally thankful for that!!
