Friday Feature: Iké Designs

A woman after my own heart, Kelsi has many passions. Beautiful photography. Handcrafted jewelry. Vintage inspirations. I love it when people can explore everything that they love. Her shop name is derived from one of the seven principles of Huna Philosophy from Hawaii. "Ike" (pronounced e-kay) means many things, but can most simply be described as "the world is what I think it is - I am aware."

She has some beautiful things in her shop (ahem), and stunning images on her photography site. And Kelsi is offering a generous discount to you. Yes, you. Go enjoy.
..........

1. Tell us a little bit about your business, your art or your craft.
I have two creative businesses, one is my photography website where I sell prints and the other is my etsy site where I sell handmade jewelry. Both rose out of my passion for the creative world. I find that I am truly myself when I am creating something, whether it be imagery, earrings, writing, cooking, etc. I am relatively new to etsy but have already gained so much insight and inspiration from the work I have seen of others.

2. What three words best describe your products or services?
Unique, high-quality, meaningful

3. What price range do your products fall in?
All of my earrings are between $18-$32 and necklaces are between $24-$49, photographic prints range from $20-$200+.

4. What is the current "must-have" item in your shop?
The verdigris patina earrings have been the most popular and bestseller so far. I will be adding a wider range of earrings with the verdigris treatment in the next few weeks because of my own personal love for them and their popularity; come have a look!

5. What is your favorite place to shop?
I love boutique shops that have unique one-of-a-kind items and I strongly dislike shopping malls. Etsy is quickly becoming my favorite online shopping area because I can find so many things that I love and I know that I am supporting individual artists and their passion.

6. Is there a particular item on your personal shopping wish list that you're dying to have?
A Bronica medium format camera and a plane ticket to Nepal. Saving for them as we speak!

7. What's the best advice anyone has given you?
"Show up. Be present. Tell the truth without blame or judgment and don't be attached to the outcome."
